TEDxPipitea is a stage for speakers and performers from Wellington and Aotearoa to celebrate the quality and diversity of our ideas, our people, our culture. We have 12 amazing speakers / performers lined up covering a range of amazing, thought provoking issues.
Our values at TEDxPipitea are all about giving kiwis a voice international - about amplifying the innovations, thoughts, discoveries and insights of our local leaders and communities. We are so spoilt and rich with "ideas worth spreading" that it is with great pride our organiser team embarks on this new TEDx journey. Our goal is to broadcast the ideas of our speakers / performers as far and wide as possible, and 2021 will have a significant digital outreach aspect to attract as many international viewers to our livestream as possible. What is TEDx?
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxPipitea, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxPipitea event, TED Talks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.

Our event is called TEDxPipitea and is on a TEDx license that limits us to a 100-person sized physical audience. TEDx speakers and performers deliver innovative, interesting content that inspires, delights and educates.
